Amos Anderson Art Museum closes on its founder’s birthday, on sunday 3 September

Housed on Yrjönkatu since 1965 in the former apartment and office building of businessman Amos Anderson on Yrjönkatu Amos Anderson Art Museum is set to move to a new venue in Lasipalatsi, Helsinki; Amos Rex will open its doors to the public in the late summer of 2018.

Come visit Amos Anderson Art Museum one last time! Our final exhibitions on Yrjönkatu are the collections exhibition Donor´s Works with Italian, Spanish and Netherlandish art from the Renaissance to the 19th century, and the acclaimed group exhibition Generation 2017 with works from over 40 young artists.

The Yrjönkatu site will continue to house the Amos Anderson home museum and private chapel and will re-open after a complete refurbishment. The exhibition programme for Amos Rex will be announced later on in the autumn.

We would like to thank all our visitors for the years passed.  See you next year at Amos Rex!
